indicating是动名词作主语，后面的that同位语从句修饰indicating，所以谓语动词应该是单数was，而不是were。而且but also找不到平行

我也觉得是倒装不过在GMAT论坛上看到C选项的一个错误的点： If we intend to use ‘but also', then we must also have used ‘not only’ prior to it.

感觉不是but also找不到平行, but also在没有not only的情况下不译为而且, 意思应该偏向转折, 所以不符合题意
772.Heating-oil prices are expected to be higher this year than last.说明本题AC的比较不存在问题。
