1、真正的考点是can vs. could. 本题的whale有能力是一个客观事实用can（ability），这点从foraging和interspersing看出。Could有possibility的意思，还有说could过去有这种能力，现在没有的意味。

仔细想了一下，应该是独立第三因素。
