D里的more than doubling the country's size我第一反应是定语修饰828,000 square miles，主要原因是看到more than，觉得前面又是名词，没有意识到more than是修饰doubling的，更加没有意识到是状语修饰acquire，所以没有觉得D的两个分词状语应该用and链接。
