waters水域，可以用where! 没看到A选析最后的they，不能指代与前文they不同的对象
A：which 指代前面的 water，水无法expose 古迹；已经出现过的them 指代的是古迹，后面的they就只能指代古迹，而不能是逻辑意思 "人“
A 的they可以指代anyone吗，anyone不应该用it指代吗
A里面已经有一个them了，指代remains，后面又有一个they，逻辑上只能是archaeologist，语法上是remains，所以语义上说不通。

选项A的第二个指示代词的错误没有留意到，mark一下
a难道不是主谓一致的错误，waters谓语动词不应该是单数啊。

to decide, look no further than the 'which' in choice a, which is followed by the verb 'exposes'. that verb is singular, indicating that 'which' must refer to something singular - and there are no singular nouns in that part of the sentence at all. ('whether they be' is also unnecessarily wordy.)
