超级难题，选项非常分散，错的点都不太一样，排除容易超时：

恕我无知，可数名词用as many as 而不是as much as ，为何在这道题不适用呢？

1. as much/many + noun + as + 比较对象。
（1）A is as much B as C. 这里跟 A is B as much as A is C是一样的意思。as much表示程度，因此不能用many。
It is as much your faulty as your wife's. 既是你的过错，也是你妻子的过错。
Henry is as much hypocrite as John. H和J一样是个伪君子。
（2）再来一个应该用many的例句。
Mary has written as many essays as her brother. 玛丽写的文章篇数和她弟弟的一样多。
2. 名词性结构做补语。structures后面的句子是对community centers和religious edifices的补充说明。structures that represent = structures representing
3. as opposed to 表示一般程度的对比，= rather than，而the opposite of或opposite to 表示A和B是相反的，对立面，对面等，是非常强烈的比对。从句意可知，此处只是想比较commitment to A而非B，不是想说A和B截然相反的关系。
