1、more和increasingly不能连用，故AD错；
2、C错在that之后的宾语从句中，coming closer to the town没有主语；
3、E错在，noting之后的宾语从句不能省略that（准确的说，在GMAT语法中，一切名词性从句都不能省略that）
最后，正确答案B中那个one指代的是rain。因为他的报告是关于雨中化学成分的研究，所以是，他在报告中注意到：该地的雨越靠近城市，酸性越大。因为这个酸性物质就是雨中的化学成分。的确，前面有很多可数名词的单数都可能是这个One指代的对象，但是通读全文之后不难理解其指代的对象，因此不会引起歧义。更何况，相对于那些少主语、少关系代词的硬伤，One指代的对象有点难找这种小问题也就可以忽略不计了~
