想了半天觉得B是独立主格是不是没有表达因果关系，A理解成了分词短语，觉得重心在plummeting，becoming 就给选了。嗯，错得清楚方便一万吨拍的瞄准。。。。。。
独立主格本身是状语从句的简化嘛，可以表达各种因果啊，转折啊等等的关系的。选项A的because of是介词，身后只能用名词。所以，这里because of身后部分的核心词是costs。由于独立主格的本质是从句，所以B的核心词是动作。
请问老师，那A是不是就相当于在说because of service costs and mobile phones? 所以错误，因为至少也应该是because of rising cost and increasingly common mobile phones。
B选项的核心词是动作，所以十分正确！
