herl解释错了，那题A选项的问题是后面的therefore raised，than a year ago 是没有问题的。
在比较的时候，如果主谓宾/主系表 一样，than后面的主谓宾/主系表 可以省略。不止这一题，好几道都可以这样表述。曼哈顿里也说过。
并且不造成歧义，这一题后面的比较than they were last year."they were"就补出了，是为了避免跟前面的than last year 混淆。
