我觉得E选项也可以呀
首先说选项E最重要的错误。最开始的they lose one arm意思就是不对的，逻辑上不能一群鱼都丢一只胳膊。
其次咱们说说这个overcompensating 和 growing的问题。题目中的 overcompensating的范围非常广，也就是多长出几个胳膊，多长出个头等等都可以算在过分补偿的这个概念里。因此，growing部分充其量只能算是overcompensating的一个分支而已，这种是不能用来修饰的。状语是要描述整个动作，不能是动作的某个分支。
