1.取非

因为对E取非，推出的结论与原结论相反（或：是原结论不成立）。这是assumption的标志！而如果B取非，会得到两种情况：人口增加，和 人口减少，无法推出与原结论完全一致的结果。
2.时间范围有出入。
The population of Gortland has remained relatively constant during the country's years of growing prosperity.文中用了has remained 和during the country's years of 描述的是截至现在为止的人口状况，不代表未来的人口会增加还是减少。而E用的是will...与题目要求预测未来相符。
