**出现了比较级的时候最直接的就是加个than表示比较，再添什么compare之类的很awkward

Despite是介词不是从属连词，后面只能跟只能跟一个名词或者相当于名词的词、短语,or宾语从句。太蠢了。。。我以为它引导了一个让步状语从句，搞得我还很奇怪这条句子谓语在哪儿。。。。
