个人感觉，即便改成compared，语义上也不对。
本句其实是要表达：与80年代42倍的比例相比，现在的CEO的收入是蓝领收入的419倍。
而“compared to 42 times in 1980”表达的是：在80年代42个不同的情况下，CEO和蓝领的收入ratio达到了419:1.
