both and，平行触发语，需要前后保持平行
1.平行，both...and...要平行，BCE错。其中E固定搭配错
2.句子结构，A的but also没有主谓，句意也不对，A错。
3.动词时态，C的had begun时态错，应该保持过去式。
4.措辞，E的to begin用法错误，begin不是目的。
a year的定语必须是“开始质疑”，即，1998是一个开始质疑的年份，而不能说，1998是一个教员的年份。
这道题之前没有错，这次错了。没看清平行就选了A不应该。B平行不ok，并且前后意思没有形成转折
(1)in 1998在過去時點，卻改成過去進行式，可以思考其必要性 ;
(2)with 獨立分詞結構句型也輸給在句意上有對比的句型 ;
(3)在Ｄ句中it 跟1998的相對位置指代是比較好的修飾關係 ;兩邊主角都是年分

(5) C句改成過去完成式不對 這會使得began後的事件 會早於現下討論時間點 不合理

我想了5分钟。。。居然是both 吗。。。。
着重看B选项
C选项的with改变了原句的逻辑关系，应该是并列关系而不是主从关系。
这题虽然做对了...
但是明显想复杂了，还用了很多时间....
直接both平行排除啊！！！！
这道题直接用both and的平行就可以把除B以外选项全部排除
