摘自CD:
C：Immigrants from the Mideast exhibit 【rates of entrepreneurship [exceeding those of virtually every other immigrant group]】 in the increasingly diverse United States economy.
C中的exceeding起到一个Modifier的作用，对rates of entrepreneurship的修饰；同时those指代的是前面的rates of entrepreneurship，正确的对比了Mideast与other group的rates。如果改成exceed的话，那么句中就有两个动词了。
