DE，D其实翻成中文会好理解很多，「同时正在避开」avoiding being rear-ended by a passing ultraviolet telescope.（感觉只有正在行驶才能这么说）；
因为都是发生在过去，也不是过去的某个时间段正在避开，没有必要用while。另外也有答案说simultaneously while语义重复的（但之前有道讲化肥的题目应该也是prep2007的，也有at the same time while 同时使用的现象）
如果是真的，就当个小考点记住吧·····
前后句意是并列关系，所以D不对
D，while表示同时，与simultaneously语意重复
avoid归属于禁止系动词，后面接(from) doing，这里的doing是动词，不是名词
