Those skeptical of the extent of global warming argue that short-term temperature data are an inadequate means of predicting long-term trends and point out that the scientific community remains divided on whether significant warming will occur and what impact will it have if it does.
on whether significant warming will occur and what impact will it have if it does
on whether warming that occurs will be significant and the impact it would have
as to whether significant warming will occur or the impact it would have if it did
over whether there will be significant warming or the impact it will have
over whether significant warming will occur and what impact it would have
3.what后面不能接疑问句式,'will it' is only ok in the context of a question ('will it rain tomorrow?'), and can't be used as a noun phrase.
A:应该是impact it will have;
B:核心语意变为:whether warming will be significant更改了原句的意思;而且whether从句和impact并不平行
C: 不应该用or;if从句后不能用did(主将从现)
E: 正确, what用would是基于前者whether的假设,是虚拟语气
E 说的是warming will occur
whether significant warming will occur and what impact it would havewhether不虚拟,是因为它后面的内容是“这件事是否发生,而what后的内容是”影响是什么“
