Those skeptical of the extent of global warming argue that short-term temperature data are an inadequate means of predicting long-term trends and point out that the scientific community remains divided on whether significant warming will occur and what impact will it have if it does.
on whether significant warming will occur and what impact will it have if it does
on whether warming that occurs will be significant and the impact it would have
as to whether significant warming will occur or the impact it would have if it did
over whether there will be significant warming or the impact it will have
over whether significant warming will occur and what impact it would have
a: 改成what impact it will have
1.divide on和over都可以,不是考点
3.what后面不能接疑问句式,'will it' is only ok in the context of a question ('will it rain tomorrow?'), and can't be used as a noun phrase.
A:应该是impact it will have;
B:核心语意变为:whether warming will be significant更改了原句的意思;而且whether从句和impact并不平行
C: 不应该用or;if从句后不能用did(主将从现)
E: 正确, what用would是基于前者whether的假设,是虚拟语气
A,divided on whether significant warming will occur anddivided on what impact will it have if it does,改成what impact it will have, whether做连词
divided over/on
A,divided on whether significant warming will occur anddivided on what impact will it have if it does,改成what impact it will have, whether做连词,后面接从句构成divided的宾语从句,不用从句疑问句形式;what impact做divided的宾语,it will have相当于省略了that,作定语从句修饰what impact,不用疑问句形式
if choice a actually has the original wording posted at the beginning of this thread ('will it' instead of 'it will'), then it's definitely wrong. 'will it' is only ok in the context of a question ('will it rain tomorrow?'), and can't be used as a noun phrase.
B 说的是warming(定语,已经发生的)will be significant
E 说的是warming will occur
RON也很纠结这题,但是AE相比,A的这个what impact will it have让人更不能接受所以相比来说选E好一点
whether significant warming will occur and what impact it would have
