c项把2个时态区分开了，德国在前用had been，之后去纽约用一般过去。很经典的一道时态题目。哦，应该是时态+比较。
听了课后更不理解了，比较不是得平行吗?我原来以为c选项前面省略了she had been，这样和than后面的就平行了。she had been Less successful after she emigrated to New York than she had been in。但这样又是部队的，这个句子和后面句子之间没有连词。
所以更不理解c选项为什么对了，都不平行啊
其实前半部分不是一个完整的句子，并不需要和后面有连词

e的错误是不是主要在she was less successful...和photographer Lotte...两个句子没有连词？在这个选项里的两个比较对象似乎没问题吧？in Germany不能比表示在德国时的状态么？
