请问老师原文的意思不是表达的“大于等于”250只鸟吗？如果去掉as many as 就变成了“大于”，算不算是改变了原句的意思了？

那是个要连接平行的关键词啊。。
as many as ... or more than 250 重复了，意思就是more than 250 （等于或大于250/大于250）
之前做过一个题 as many 表示数量相当的，但前面要加N，排除B；
剩下C
A、monitoring + of 无宾语
B、as many, or表述有误
DE、routes自己不能monitor，况且主谓不一致
e.g.,
last year, i read 100 books; i have not read as many (= 100) this year.

所以有具体数量时不需用as many as，除非是表示一种强调（牛津词典）
