C和E如何选：ron也说了别纠结to和toward，这里感觉还是句意为王的话E的句子意思更清晰吧，C是enhance performance and preparation，两个名词共用一个enhance，但是提升比赛准备这种搭配感觉怪怪的，再看E，enhancing performance and preparing 这样比较清晰，prepare可以做及物动词，prepare them for competition：为比赛做准备；而且根据原文的句子，两个towards表示作者的意图是两个动作的并列

前面出现了athletes representing the United States in the Olympics。所以e完美了。.。。
确定them是运动员，那么e里面这个运动员是所有格形式，不是不可以用代词吗？god why？

主语是programs不是center. "of the Olympic Training Center"是修饰programs的定语。同位语从句“a complex where final tryouts are held for athletes representing the United States in the Olympics”就近修饰的是training center而不是主语。
