这道题目我错选了B，其中B很多人说他的they指代不清，但其实你只要看一下整个句子便会发现，他的逻辑主语始终是companies，不可能是其他的，所以这个不是B错的理由；至于为什么B错，我只能根据答案是D出来反推，唯一找到的合理解释是，这句话前后并没因果关系，而用D选项的省略状语从句（即分词做状语）可以很好的规避不用连词而减少因果的意思。
还希望这道题能有毕出老师解答一下正确的解释
B选项不是错在they，B选项的主干意思是因为数字和字母有connotation，（公司意识到变成了次要成分），所以公司选择数字，这样主句从句之间的逻辑关系是不合理的，应该是公司意识到有关系，所以公司选择。错不在因果，在于成分的变化。
