this construction signifies that "X" is expected, normal, or customary in the given situation but that "Y" is what is actually present / has happened / will happen.

那为啥不平行
我的理解是 the human mind is not a "blank slate“ 以及 instead (it) comprises specialized mental mechanisms都是Evolutionary psychology所holds的观点，所以不能用holds that but instead that来平行，而the human mind is not...but (the human mind) comprises是平行的，因为主语一致所以省略了主语
然而not but应该是封闭式平行，不可以有省略的啊？

考点应该是not...but...,并列结构，A不对是因为but后面跟了that从句，与not后内容不对称。且as a way of solving的表述没有to solve 简洁。
转折应该发生在human mind这一层，即不是XX而是XX
这题的考点就是简洁吗，感觉用简洁作为判断正误的决定都会掺杂着主观成分，不太靠谱
A中的转折应该没错。B选项的也对，且更简洁。
