错选C，其实C的问题很多。1. it不能指代leaves 2. possibility的用法错误，正确的idiom是the possibility that NOUN VERB
或者the possibility of NOUN 3. besides the possibility的下一个句子需要平行，也就是除了Noun，（还有）Noun
为什么是prevent or inhibit？这个表达就没懂，两个词不都是阻止抑制？为什么还可以重复说？
(A) possibility和for的搭配错，应该是possibility of doing sth/that.； it指代错误，不能指代复数名词brewed leaves，有疑似指代subject的嫌疑；
(B) possibility和to do的搭配错；it指代错误，不能指代复数名词brewed leaves，有疑似指代subject的嫌疑；
(C) 同位语从句possibility that不如possibility of doing简洁；prevents and inhibits 不符合逻辑，应改为or；it指代错误，不能指代复数名词brewed leaves，有疑似指代subject的嫌疑；
(D) 用possible修饰preventing是动名词用法，不如用自有名词，idiomatic; 和主句的in doing不能保持平行；
(E) Correct；besides在这里是副词的用法，preventing or inhibiting和主句的reducing保持平行；

besides 和 in addition to 都表示“除……之外(还)……”，用法差不多，但"in addition to" 后面可接句子，而besides后面不能。

句子的意思应该是叶子除了“做”什么，还“做”什么，所以前面应该也是动词性质的词。所以排除ABC后，选E。应该和possible接of还是that没关系
