来自ron:
A和E错误:both of these choices are wrong for the same reason: neither of them specifies what we are taking percentages of.
you need to say 43% of californians or 43% of the population of california or 43% of... something.
A. 43 percent 与35 percent无所指,数词单独做指代与many的原理近似;compared with修饰对象不明,主句中没有成分可以与a decade ago对应,根据逻辑意思重点应该是more than 43 percent与35 percent的对比
B. 43 percent of them与of the Californians重复;根据逻辑含义,最合理的是43 percent与35 percent的对比,而不是today与a decade ago的对比。
C. Correct;compared with后面跟的是35 percent
E. 43 percent与35 percent无所指;it无所指;unlike a decade ago修饰的是Hispanics,比较对象不对等;最合理的是43 percent与35 percent的对比,而不是today与a decade ago的对比。
b,同a
1.如果一下很难区分比较对象是否正确,可以根据这个技巧:compared with/compared to是用来修饰之前这个statistic的,因而compared with/compared to要紧跟另一个statistic(在极少数的情况下可能不会紧跟,这个时候对比选项,选最近的)
43% of the xxxxx are hispanic, compared to 35% a decade ago.
2.compared with/compared to是一样的
(Basically, you should just know two things about \"compared to/with\".)
B选项it无指代,of California和of them重复

A:Hispanics V a decade ago
B: the Californians V a decade ago
D 同B
E 同A
more than 43 percent compared with about 35 percent ,是百分比和百分比在比

it无所指
