C和D，不管是独立主格结构informing ...和as从句，都是表示的原因，但是这两个表示的原因不一样。informing both ... and ...，只是说因为对literary style 和content都有影响，所以说knowledge对他成为作家有帮助；as it informed ... as much as...，是说因为对这两个方面的影响一样，所以才说knowledge对他成为作家有帮助，这种说法就不合理了，难道对这两方面的影响不是一样，就不能说knowledge有用了吗？语义上讲不通，不能选D。
