我认为by和with相比，by不是错在毕老师说的点上。by最大的错误在于扭曲了意思，即“通过过度补偿来长出手臂。” 而with正确地表达了长出手臂的同时，有时候会多长。
选项A三个错误点：1. it指代不明，2.用by句意表达不当 3. and前后不平行

E的any不对

A: as a result of several improvements和because coal replaced charcoal as the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore并列。语法上是可以的，因为两者都是原因状语
C: with being replaced and improvements介词短语结构在句首作伴随状语，不是独立主格，没有办法表达出因果的关系。因此相对choice a,b改变了意思；

D除了with伴随不合适以外，reconcile和together也冲突了

you are not allowed to end modifiers with prepositions!

expect身后不能用宾语从句，而应该用不定式

C选项：ability身后需要用to do而不能用of doing。这点考查了“不定式和ing的区别”。用之于本题，当我们说，一个有能力干什么的时候，这件事的发生与否必然和我们拥有的能力有直接关系，若我们没有能力，这件事就不会发生。因此，ability身后的定语需要用不定式的形式。

B取非，仍然开着的工厂没有更少的工作（保持了一样的量或者更多），这个sales可能也会decline的。不能削弱结论。
