我觉得chance不能有“半”个或“更少”这种说法，possibility可能好一些

b选项的”or less“是个插入语，不是句子的一部分，所以than的用法就错误了，因为than必须跟比较级同时出现。
我觉得do是为了和前面have对应，those who are sedentary do （have）
