我的思路是，先看选项：
1. 选项主要以devastation，enslavement开头，或者以devastating，enslaving，这个看不出太大区别，要等着读句子来判断
2. 接着看看选项发现有修饰语，that，by which等等，注意看一下修饰的是谁，主要考点应该会落在in the name of progress这个东西变来变去的影响指代
3. 在看修饰的时候发现谓语动词的单复数不一致，应该是考句子的主语到底是谁
接着开始读题：
1. 果然这devastation，enslavement，或者devastating，enslaving看不出来，放弃
2. A句指代错误，果然是in the name of progress的问题
3. by which应该也是要就近修饰？感觉也不太妥的样子，保留考虑
3. CD写的什么歪七拐八的肯定不对，A句的结构感觉上已经能把东西讲的非常的清晰了，应该答案会跟A选项差不了太多
4. 然后看一下主语，and连接的两个东西，用are或者have，看一下E，好像用对了，同时这个复数谓语跳过了in the progress 正确的指向了the devastation and enslavement，选E

in the name of progress 没看懂，以进步的名义
倒装了一下，把定语从句放在了后面，使前面句子主体更容易看。
