A 选项还是不太理解 as a result of 和 because 两个原因 一个是介词短语 一个是句子 中间那个and 连接的可是前后两句话 也就是产量暴涨是进步的结果 和 因为..... 用and连接 无法理解
C选项错在，several improvements in blowing machinery前面的介词是不能省略的。因为，With charcoal's being replaced by coal as the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore中的with是独立主格的with，不是一个普通的介词，而several improvements in blowing machinery是一个纯名词，身前需要一个真正的介词。
C可不可以认为charcoal‘s being replaced是一个动名词，这样的话这个结构没有表示动作的非谓语动词，无法构成独立主格
毕老师，请问这个with不可以统领charcoal's being replaced... 和 several improvements...两个部分么？这样一个with引导了并列的2个成分，成为了主句的原因状语。
在形式上，也符合就近修饰。

A选项的主谓是：output trippled B选项的主语是：A trippling was due to
然后要考虑在前面介词短语over the course of the 18th century的修饰下，哪个是符合语义的。
显然语义想说的是output在18世纪期间trippled，而不是说A trippling 在18世纪是因为。。。潜台词就是说在非18世纪的年代就不是因为。。。了所以是不符合语义的，排除B。
C选项独立主格修饰语太长了，放在句首，头重脚轻。
D选项逗号前面的句子是名词成分，作为同位语，不能有效的表达出replacemnet&improvements和output trippled这两件事情之间的因果关系，所以不符合语义。

但是a里面的as a result of跟从句平行也是太奇怪了吧
这里不能用独立主格，因为两句话有逻辑关系。
在看一遍独立主格的定义，觉得c的with结构并不是独立主格。独立主格首先它是一个“格”，而不是一个“句子”。独立主格要求不能是句子。c中我觉得是错在with是介词后面不能加句子，而charcoal's being replaced by coal as the fuel明显是句子，charcoal正在被coal替换，因此c错误登录 或 注册 后可以参加讨论

B 纠结的时候觉得有问题的是两点：tripling用的awkward; in addition to改变了语义
C 楼下有同学说with不能表原因，但with是可以表示原因的。但纠结的时候觉得being replaced用的不对

回过头来看一下A确实是最好的选项
