>也可以是even:
e.g. From outside, no one could see so much as a light on in the house. 从外面只能看到房子里的灯而已
GMAT中like不能用于举例！
1. not so much... as ... (not 和so much是连着的) 是 与其说...毋宁说...的意思
e.g. The ocean do not so much divide the world as unite it. 与其说海洋是把世界分隔开了还不如说是把世界连接起来了
2. (否定句) so much as ... 这个否定句可以是含有not ,no 或者without之类，大多数时候与后面的so much as 分开。 但跟上面的idiom的不同之处就在于so much 和 as 是连着的
>意思可以是but rather:
e.g. I'm not looking at her so much as I am studying her hat. 我没在看她，只不过是在看她的帽子
>也可以是even:
e.g. From outside, no one could see so much as a light on in the house. 从外面只能看到房子里的灯而已
like不能用于举例，排除BD；
不知道so much as 的用法，not... but设陷阱；
not so much... as ... =与其说...倒不如说...
so much as ... = but rather=而是
C，problem that may be as simple as when certain medications cause a reaction. as...as比较，这里将problem这个东西与when这个情况比较，比较对象错误。看到比较结构，就要看两个比较对象是什么，是否平行；
E，symptomatic of another problem词性混乱，应该是a symptom of another problem ，要心细。
关于表两者否定用nor还是or：
表达not A and not B有 两种方式：
I do not like A and B.
I neither like A nor B.
如果要在否定后面再加一个否定的事物，用nor。neither/nor不必须，也可以是not/nor，如：
I do not like action films, nor do I like excessive use of violence in movies.
nor一定表示同时否定2个。not/nor也可能用or 取代nor，变形为not/or，如：
I do not like singing or dancing.
总结：这四种形式都是可以的
I do not like A and B.
I neither like A nor B.
I do not like A nor B.
I do not like A or B.
I do not like A and B.在GMAT中是正确的？确定？

A，ok
B,like表示像某物，这里不是说像药物反应那样的问题，而是药物反应本身就是个问题，like用法错误
C，problem that may be as simple as when certain medications cause a reaction.as/as做连词，跟句子，表示像……一样。这里将problem这个东西与when这歌情况比较，比较对象错误，应该是problem is as simple ad a reaction caused by certain medications.
D，it is东西和事情比，比较对象错误；like用法错误同B
E，symptomatic of another problem用法错误，应该是a symptom of another problem
not so much/as:
as/as即可用于肯定句，也可用于否定句；not so/ as只能用于否定句；
not so much A/as B，与其说是……，不如说是，相当于rather than。可以变形为 not so much A/but B或 not A, so much as B
not so much A/as B可以跟名词/形容词/短语/句子，要求连接对象平行。如：
He isn't so much ill as depressed．=He's depressed rather than ill.
Oceans don't so much divide the world as unite it．
You feel lost, not so much because it threatens you as because it shows humans in such a inhuman light.
is not...so much as... 与其说是，不如说是
实像这样不常接触到的idoim是可以忽略的... 显然GMAT不是靠组合筛选高分的人
首先举例可以筛掉B & D--Like不能用于举例
compare ACE, 其中C的 as simple as的比较结构错误，通常我们使用as..as是这样用的：as high as that tree， 这里as..as的用法貌似也出现过 是描述一个沙子还是岩石的题目？？？
而E选项的symptomatic of another problem... 这个完全是词性混乱了，没人会说important of another problem,而是importance...
最后得到A
A. not ... so much as 与其说...毋宁说...
