个人觉得独立主格不存在时态问题了，have done直接排除

C选项，独立主格结构也可以放在主句的后面，表示伴随的状态或结果。dominated the American economy in the 1920's是one of every eight workers为 xx industry工作的结果，所以不应放在主句里，反而应该成为独立主格
A选项的核心词有问题

Manhattan上是这么说的，但之前看遇到过所有格被代词指代的题，所以也不绝对Manhattan还说诸如 athletes' 这种【复数名词+ ‘ 】的选项都可以排除，但也被个别题证明了，不绝对，只能说看到以上两种情况，不要着急选，自己看看有没有更合适的选项，没有的话，这种选项还是可以选的

我举得A选项可能是是拿河流与河流本身相比，water在从句里面不参与比较，所以不用加that of？

如果直接和河流相比，more than all the North American Great Lakes combined这个成分就应该紧跟在300 rivers后面。之前在D和A之间摇摆，现在疑惑减轻了一些，因为D更明显的错误在于While不能准确表示两个clause间的关系
(a) says, basically, "some rich people would give less money".if that statement is false, then this means that no rich people would reduce their donations. (again, don't try to make a "rule" for this; just ask yourself what it would mean for the statement to be false.)
if that's the case, then clearly the argument makes no sense anymore, because removing the deductions would have no effect at all in that case.
