感觉A得they可以指代recent studies。
C的that指代total fat 啊，不是吗？而且b的对比对象不对呀，fat和livestock对比？？？and连接两个句子可以省略主语吗？另外一个和本题无关的问题 livestock是集体名词，要用复数的吗？
B比较的应该是wild和livestock拥有fat这个动作，而不是动物本身吧……
B为什么不用在livestock后面加do????????

这个解释比较扯...“GMAC爸爸”对于比较的省略原则一直是自顾自的。例如：I eat more apples than you被认为是有错的，但其实你也可以说，人绝对不会吃人，所以这句话没有歧义。实际上，对于这种比较的情况，没有所谓的一贯的原则，更没有所谓的歧义原则，只需要按照这道题目最合理的比较对象去判断就好了。
A选项 “wild animals have less total fat than do livestock”的比较似乎也说得通，只是不如wild animals与livestock直接对比更简单直接。可以这么理解吗？

有关C的理解：比较的是wild animals 与livestock fed on grain, 所以that of 无所指，如果that of 指代正确，句子应该是the fat of wild animals is less than that of livestock fed on grain.

错啦，选了c，that不能指代total fat么？还是说如果想用that of只能将句子改为 the total fat of wild animals is less than that of livestock？ B选项不用在livestock后面加do么？
