这道题纠结了2分多钟，还是选错了，选了C，之前一直在B和C之间徘徊，现在hindsight一下：
A 一开始就把A排除了，因为as a result和because从句不平行（用平行筛选选项害人啊。。。）。除了这一点以外句子从语法到语义其实没有问题
B 纠结的时候觉得有问题的是两点：tripling用的awkward; in addition to改变了语义
C 楼下有同学说with不能表原因，但with是可以表示原因的。但纠结的时候觉得being replaced用的不对
D E很简单可以直接排除

回过头来看一下A确实是最好的选项

本题的关键在于comparison的对称性，句子的意思是要把trade imbalances和trade deficit做对比。BCD选项都是把trade imbalances和U.S.做对比，E是把trade imbalances和record exports做对比，都是不对称的。

分析B选项，“up to”应该本身没有问题吧？错误在于，bears后面应当跟定语从句而不是伴随状语？因为修饰的是bears而不是一种状态。

C 分词要么伴随，要么结果；要是是结果，感觉很奇怪；但是如果是伴随，个人感觉又会歧义，到底是修饰items, equipment, 还是主语?
